A place where emotional skills grow through stories, play, and everyday moments.

Some Lessons Are Easier to Feel Than Explain
Many of us remember stories long after we've forgotten facts.
We may not remember every lesson we learned as children, but we often remember the characters who helped us imagine, wonder, laugh, and grow. A favorite story has a way of staying with us because it becomes something we experience, not just something we're told or read.
Children learn this way, too.
They don't usually say, "Today I practiced mindfulness."
Instead, they might remember the fox who paused to notice the forest.
Or the duck who watched her thoughts drift by instead of chasing every one.
Stories create experiences that children naturally return to. They make emotional skills feel approachable, memorable, and worth practicing again.
That idea became the beginning of Acceptance Acres.
Why I Created Acceptance Acres
Acceptance Acres is a growing world where every character explores an emotional skill through stories, interactive adventures, and everyday moments.
Rather than teaching these ideas through worksheets alone, each friend invites children to notice, wonder, imagine, and practice.
Some adventures happen in forests.
Some beside ponds.
Some while walking a trail.
Others while facing challenges that many children experience every day.
My hope is simple:
That families will discover emotional skills together through stories that feel meaningful long after the adventure is over.
Meet Finn the Fox

Every adventure needs someone willing to take the first step.
That's Finn the Fox.
Finn isn't perfect.
He gets frustrated.
He feels nervous sometimes.
He doesn't always know what to do next.
But he keeps practicing.
Like many children, including my own son Finley, Finn the Fox discovers that growth doesn't happen because we always get things right.
It often begins when we're willing to pause, notice, and take one small step forward.
That's why Finn's adventure is the perfect place to begin exploring Acceptance Acres.
Begin with Finn's Forest Trail

Finn's Forest Trail is the first interactive adventure in Acceptance Acres.
As you explore together, you'll discover simple moments designed to help children slow down, become curious, and notice the world around them.
Along the way you'll find:
🌿 2 Interactive trail stops
🌱 Finn's Growth Garden (the newest of the 2 stops)
🍃 Hidden discoveries
🎯 Simple activities to try together
❤️ Parent Moments that continue the conversation beyond the screen
The trail is just beginning.
New stops and discoveries will continue to appear as Acceptance Acres grows.
More Friends Are Waiting
Finn may be the first guide through Acceptance Acres, but many more friends are waiting to explore with your family.
🦆 Delaney the Duck helps children notice thoughts with curiosity instead of believing every thought or idea.
🦜 Micah the Macaw encourages children to slow down and pay attention to the present moment.
🦏 Riley the Rhino practices calming big feelings and responding with steady steps.
🦔 Avery the Armadillo reminds us that uncomfortable feelings can be carried without letting them decide where we go.
🐿️ Sage the Squirrel helps children discover that they are bigger than any single thought, feeling, or experience.
🦅 Vivian the Vulture invites children to discover what matters most and how those values can guide everyday choices.
🐆 Cleo the Cheetah shows that knowing what matters is only the beginning—and encourages children to take small, meaningful steps toward the life they want to build.
Each friend explores a different emotional skill.
Each place offers a new adventure.
Each story is another opportunity to practice together.
This Week's Family Invitation
Visit Finn's Forest Trail together.
Take your time.
Notice what catches your child's attention.
Ask which hidden discovery they enjoyed most.
Talk about which part of the adventure made them stop and think.
Sometimes the best conversations begin with something as simple as exploring together.
Looking Ahead

Next time, we'll visit Delaney the Duck at her peaceful pond.
Together, we'll discover that thoughts are a little like lily pads.
We can notice them.
We can watch them float by.
And we don't always have to step onto every one of them.
